Ice Skating

Ice skating is a recreational and competitive activity where individuals glide on ice using specialized footwear called ice skates. The skates have sharpened blades that allow for smooth movement across the ice surface. Ice skating can take various forms, including figure skating, where skaters perform artistic routines and jumps; speed skating, which emphasizes racing over a distance; and hockey skating, which involves maneuvering to play ice hockey. It is both a leisure pursuit enjoyed in rinks and outdoor settings, and a sport with organized competitions. Ice skating combines elements of balance, agility, and coordination, and can be practiced by people of all ages and skill levels.
